FRE2 LO6: Skills for advising clients - from fact-find to recommendation
1,401 words · checked 2026-10-30 · Pro
Learning outcome 6 asks you to identify the skills an adviser needs. Its single assessment criterion (AC6.1) follows the advice process in order: communication, gathering information, assessment and analysis, identifying solutions, making recommendations and dealing with insistent clients. CeMAP® questions on this topic are often short conversations: you pick the best question to ask next, the information that is missing, or the right response to a client who will not take advice.
